Rick has been working on cars since 1974,  the desire to fix cars lead him to many internships and ASE certification. He now has 15 years of specific Chrysler technician experience and 25 years of experience in independent shops. His goal is prevention and to fix it right the first time. 

   Later Rick and his wife Heidi decided to open there own shop. Where they then put her bookkeeping experience and his auto repair experience to work on there first venture called  SHOP ON WHEELS INC. in August of 2001. They were  successful with this mobile repair business and soon advanced into opening  a permanent location in Harrisburg. Petra Automotive opened on April 27th 2005 .Thanks to the Harrisburg community and our many repeat customers, they are still going strong many years later.

  

   Many ask "Why the name Petra"?  I first heard the name listening to a talented Christian rock band, then it came up a few times reading the gospels.  Jesus referred to Peter as little petra (rock).
 The Holy Scriptures are a very important part of our lives .
I believe that we all live and breath by the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ who is, and always will be Sovereign. I firmly believe that  He desires that none should perish (yet He gives us free will to choose). Please consider The Gift, John 3:16-17 and make the right choice.
